PROMICON partner Beatriz Altamira Algarra has been invited to serve as a guest editor for a prestigious JoVE (Journal of Visualized Experiments) Methods Collection, focused on the synthesis, extraction, and quantification of bioproducts from cyanobacteria and microalgae. This collection is dedicated to advancing sustainable bioproducts, a field where cyanobacteria and microalgae hold immense potential for producing biopolymers, pigments, and other valuable resources through photosynthesis.
The collection aims to offer practical and accessible protocols for researchers, whether in laboratory or pilot-scale setups, to enhance the yield and efficiency of these processes. Contributors are invited to share their expertise on a wide range of topics, from identifying promising strains to optimising cultivation and refining extraction techniques.
Researchers in the field are encouraged to submit their abstracts by 7 May to contribute to this important project.
