PROMICON at an upcoming event: Bioplastic Production from Cyanobacteria

On 31 October at 11:00 CET, the International Water Association (IWA) Young Water Professional Switzerland will host its very first IWA Switzerland Chapter webinar. 

The webinar will feature an insightful session from PROMICON member Beatriz Altamira Algarra (UPC) on sustainable bioplastic production. Beatriz will introduce the topic of bioplastic as an alternative to fossil-based plastics and the different bacteria that can produce PHB – a type of bioplastic. Her talk will focus on cyanobacteria – photoautotrophic bacteria that can accumulate PHB.
