A new Horizon 2020 project FindingPheno is holding its first external Stakeholder Synergy Meeting on 27 October 2021, which is being organised with the purpose to gather professionals from research and industry to discuss the pressing issues and barriers involved in sustainable food production. The invite-only meeting will be attended by sixteen leading Horizon 2020 projects from eleven European countries, amongst which is PROMICON. The project is going to be represented by the coordinator Dr. Jens O. Krömer (Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research, UFZ).
By applying state-of-the-art mathematical and machine learning approaches, FindingPheno is creating an integrated computational framework for hologenomic data. As such, the project strives to collect the needed data to provide tools to better understand how host-microbiome interactions can affect growth and other outcomes.
With a vision to create synergies and to lay the groundwork towards potential future collaborations, FindingPheno is looking forward to hearing everyone’s ideas to help facilitate knowledge and also the various technologies and methods that each project is developing.
As PROMICON has just recently kicked off its work, participating at this meeting is a great opportunity to expand our network and create fruitful collaborations for potential future synergies.
