The new PROMICON policy brief is now available on the Horizon Results Platform and the EU Knowledge Centre for Bioeconomy

The new PROMICON’s policy brief, A New Process with Zero Emissions for Truly Biodegradable Plastics, is now available on the Horizon Results Platform and the EU Knowledge Centre for Bioeconomy. These platforms serve as key resources for sharing EU-funded research and innovations. As such, they will help increase the visibility of this important output and the mission and progress of the PROMICON research, reaching new and wider audiences.

The policy brief outlines an innovative method developed by PROMICON to produce bioplastics using photosynthetic microorganisms. This process harnesses sunlight, absorbs CO2, and requires minimal organic resources, making it a perfect fit with the EU’s bioeconomy goals.
