The 2nd International PhD Student's Conference at the University of Life Sciences in Lublin, Poland, was recently held with great success. The conference was jointly organised by the Doctoral School and the Doctoral Students Council of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin.

The conference focused on providing a platform for PhD students from various disciplines to present their latest research findings, exchange scientific ideas, and share research experiences. This interdisciplinary conference had thematic sections in the areas of agricultural, forestry, technical, health, and veterinary sciences.

Amongst the participants was the PROMICON member Beatriz Altamira Algarra of the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC), who presented the project with the oral presentation "Exploring the potential of cyanobacterial microbiomes for sustainable bioproducts."

The presentation was well-received by the audience, as through visual materials, Beatriz showed the potential of the cyanobacterial microbiomes to produce biofuels, biomaterials, and other bioproducts.

The conference provided an excellent opportunity for PhD students to learn about the latest research in their fields and to network with their peers. The organisers of the conference were pleased with the turnout and the quality of the presentations, and they look forward to hosting another successful conference in the future.
