Last week, PROMICON held its first Innovation Workshop, designed and delivered by project partner Isle Utilities, to drive the development of the project’s innovative technologies and solutions by incorporating feedback from PROMICON’s Innovation Board Members and fostering future collaborations.
This Innovation Workshop provided a unique platform for all project partners and members of the PROMICON Innovation Board to interact and exchange ideas to ensure that PROMICON’s technologies and solutions are fit for purpose. In the span of two productive hours, project partners from five organisations (UPC, Oncyt, AIMEN, NOVAID, CSIC) presented their innovative solutions to an independent Innovation Board, focusing on novel methods to steer microbiome growth for the production of biopolymers (i.e., PHA, PHB), biomonitoring tools, photobioreactors and software for reactor control and optimisation.
The Workshop concluded with a feedback session and a discussion to help guide the project’s exploitation strategies and roadmaps, supporting further development of PROMICON’s technologies and solutions to accelerate their adoption.
