New #Lab_Stories out now!
The second #Lab_Stories video is out on our social media! The new episode features project partner Hannah Berreth of the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research - UFZ.
As part of her PhD, Hannah helps in establishing a microbial consortium for the production of hydrogen with the use of energy from sunlight and organic carbon sources in mixed species biofilms. Her research is vital for PROMICON as understanding and making use of beneficial interactions between species in consortia is crucial in order to establish a more productive biological system compared to single species concepts.
In the video, Hannah explains her role within PROMICON, while showing us some of her tasks during a typical workday at the UFZ lab. Watch the video here.
