PROMICON at the 7th International Symposium on Biosorption and Biodegradation/Bioremediation

In June, the 7th International Symposium on Biosorption and Biodegradation/Bioremediation (BioBio 2024) took place in Prague. The conference brought together researchers to discuss the latest advancements in bioremediation, biodegradation, and biodeterioration, foster international collaborations, support young scientists, and present research from the EU Bioremediation Cluster. 

Professor Joan Garcia from UPC was also present, representing PROMICON with his presentation "Cyanobacteria Microbiomes for Bioplastics Long-term Production". The talk highlighted his team’s breakthrough in developing a process engineering strategy for the continuous production of bioplastics from cyanobacteria, marking a significant milestone in our project.
