PROMICON has established a new open research collection in the Research Ideas and Outcomes (RIO) journal, aiming to enhance the project's visibility and facilitate better dissemination of all publicly accessible project outcomes.

The objective of the RIO collection is to expand the reach of PROMICON’s findings, accommodating a variety of project outputs, such as reports, protocols, methodologies, research papers, and links to project publications in other journals. Currently, all PROMICON articles can already be accessed via the project’s collection page. The page will continue to grow, hosting a diverse array of outputs which cover the entire research process comprehensively, thus centralising PROMICON’s outcomes and ensuring their accessibility throughout and beyond the project's duration.

The primary goal of the RIO journal is to drive a cultural shift in research communication by promptly and comprehensively publishing ideas, proposals, and diverse outcomes throughout the research cycle. The journal is dedicated to a completely transparent and public peer-review process, serving as a tool for enhancing transparency and credibility within research ecosystems, ultimately contributing to a more efficient research process. Furthermore, RIO seeks to foster connections across scientific disciplines, placing particular emphasis on how research addresses the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and other challenges confronting our global society.
