PROMICON Participates in the 3rd International Meeting on Bioremediation / Restoration Processes

The third international meeting on Bioremediation and Restoration Processes, was held on 29 and 30 June, 2023, at FHNW Campus Muttenz, Switzerland. The conference facilitated the exchange of innovative solutions for environmental challenges among leading experts, researchers, and practitioners. The covered topics included biohazard identification, strategies for remediating polluted sites and priority pollutants, and innovative water cycle and biowaste management approaches. 

At the conference, PROMICON was represented by Prof. Joan Garcia and Beatriz Altamira-Algarra from Universitat Polytècnica de Catalunya (UPC).

The two PROMICON researchers made their contribution at the conference through a presentation session and a scientific poster, both titled "Top-down engineering of natural phototrophic microbiomes for bioplastic production." Their research aligned seamlessly with the conference's objective of sharing the latest developments and innovations to address environmental problems, showcasing the potential for sustainable and eco-friendly solutions.

Beatriz Altamira-Algarra presented at the BioRemid 2023 conference their research on "Top-down engineering of natural phototrophic microbiomes for the production of bioplastics."
